Hi! My name is Ansar Bahrun and I am a fourth year Information Systems and Economics student at the University of California, Riverside (UCR). This is my personal website where you can contact me for services such as web development, mobile app development, or ecommerce. I have experiences in both web development and data science and have worked for various companies including MatrixVisual, MaintStar, and Surowski Design + Develop. My interest in technology first began in 2017 when I built my first guessing game program using Python and the Python random module. The process of completing the application was fascinating because I learned how to communicate to a computer using code. From that moment on, I started to use my free time to explore and learn more about the field. My current interests in technology are web development, mobile app development, software engineering, data science, and network security. By the end of 2020, I plan on completing two certification programs in cybersecurity and data science.
Since March 2020, I have been working for Surowski Design + Develop as a Front End Developer Intern. My first project was to create a website for WPCodeCamp, that was utilized to learn about WordPress and plugins. My responsibilities consist of building or recreating our clients user interface and user experience design using front end technologies, like HTML, CSS, Javascript frameworks, and PHP.
The following links are websites I have worked on with Surowski Design + Develop: My Valley News PopUp Subscription, Clean Power Alliance, CPA Residential Customers Power Response Program, CPA Commercial Customers Response Program, Amrapur Personal Protective Equipment.
After interning at Matrix Visual Solutions, I was offered a temporary position in the company as an ECommerce Web Developer. My task was to build and structure a website to sell LED products in the company’s inventory using the Shopify framework.
In Matrix Visual Solutions, I was fortunate enough to recreate and develop the company website using front end technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. One task I enjoyed working on was recreating the LED Calculator using PHP code to help with the orders of LED Panels. Later in my internship, I had the opportunity to learn marketing techniques, like tracking the number of website visits each week, and analyzing consumer behavior using SEM Rush.
As a Data Science Intern at Maintstar Inc. I had the opportunity to showcase my skills in Excel and Python to help satisfy data science projects for clients. During my period in MaintStar Inc, I learned how to use Python modules such as Pandas and NumPy. I implemented those modules to extract PDFs, clean data, insert data to a dataframe, and convert the project to a .csv file.
